The Christmas of 2017 I requested a camera. I had never used one before, but I loved taking pictures with my cell phone so I thought it would be fun to learn how to use a "real camera". My sweet husband did the research and bought me a Canon 80D. I fell in love immediately. I took it everywhere and and took so many of what I thought were great pictures...all while taking them in auto mode.
After about a year of that I started paying attention to what others were able to capture and started my quest to learn the real art of photography. I watched so many youtube videos and online instructors. Friends started noticing my art and requested prints, portraits and wedding photography. More videos and the purchase of Lightroom made that an obtainable goal.
I have found that I love photography in every form. While people recommend that you find a niche and stick with it, I haven't been able to do that. I love it all too much. The solitude of nature and taking my time to compose a shot as well as the joy in taking photos of people. Making them feel as at ease and comfortable in front of the camera.
